How It Works
Each user needs their own keeper smart contract deployed, which enables transparent and secure separation of transactions across all users. From there, a user can easily interact with approved contracts as desired in the Bitflow app and enjoy automated execution of DeFi management operations.
For example, if you’ve set a limit order, your Keeper is simply calling an approved function at the right time, and guaranteeing at the smart contract level that the purchased tokens go directly to your wallet — never anywhere else. Another example is BTC can be sent directly to your keeper smart contract on the Stacks layer so that a DeFi action is executed when the sBTC is minted.
This automated system eliminates the hassle of manual execution, and you retain the exclusive ability to withdraw funds from your keeper contract at all times. The modular design scales very efficiently so that anyone can build new actions and services on top of Bitflow infrastructure.
A smart contract with an action-trait enables a particular operation in a secure, sandboxed environment, ensuring it can only perform its designated function. For added security, Bitflow will initially support the approval of new action-trait implementations, and then transition this governance to the BFF community over time.
AI Agents: Supercharging Bitflow Keepers
Bitflow Keepers are powerful on their own, but will be supercharged by AI crews analyzing market conditions and social sentiment from sources like LunarCrush, identifying arb opportunities and trends in real time. The Bitflow Keepers help users automate the painful parts of DeFi management; the AI crews will recommend strategies and run Keepers to execute them. Together, Bitflow Keepers and Agents can help users optimize trades, adjust farming to maximize yield, and react faster to market movements — all without requiring constant manual oversight.
Flexible, Fast and Future-Proofed
Bitflow Keepers are automated and fast thanks to Stacks’ 5–10 second finality secured by Bitcoin. The first instance is already live, enabling native BTC <> STX swaps. Getting started is simple — just request a Keeper contract deployment, and we handle the deployment for you, ensuring you can swap effortlessly, even if you only hold BTC.
But we’re not stopping there. To unlock automatic yield harvesting and restaking, we’re migrating to upgraded staking and emissions contracts that are fully Keeper-compatible. This upgrade will streamline the staking experience, making it more efficient and hands-free.
NEW STAKING CONTRACTS NOW LIVE!
The new staking and emissions contracts are live and integrated into the Bitflow app. Users who already staked in previous cycles will just need to follow the guided process on the earn page to migrate their LP tokens to the new Keeper-compatible staking contracts. Note: We recommend completing the migration within the next 7 days as emissions shift to the new contracts — Starting Jan 07, 2025.
If prompted, switching over requires three simple steps:
- Claim Rewards — Retrieve any accrued staking rewards.
- Unstake All LP Tokens — Unstake your LP tokens from the old contract. Early unstaking is available with no fees.
- Restake in the New Keeper-Compatible Contracts — to continue earning rewards.
By design, Bitflow admins have no backdoor access to user funds. Your assets remain fully in your control, and you can complete this process anytime at your convenience. Early unstaking is available, and no fees will be applied.
